Women Empowerment: The women of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area

In line with his philosophy of empowering women to build stronger and prosperous communities, Basheer Tosin Ashafa donated a number of sewing machines to the hardworking women of Ibeju-Lekki, a community he hails from.

While addressing the audience, Mr. Ashafa made it clear that “Ibeju-Lekki is very dear to me, not just because it’s my country home. Over the years, the people of this community have been extremely supportive of my family in several regards.”

The women were extremely delighted with his kind gesture and promised to put the machines to good use. Speaking on behalf of the women, Alhaja, the leader of the group, urged BTA not to relent on his efforts in supporting the community and that the Almighty, will reward him in several ways.

“I will continue to do more as much as Allah, continues to show me kindness. It is my dream that every child in this community is educated and every woman is empowered”., said Mr Ashafa while rounding up his visit.
